NRV 911 Dispatchers Receive Golden Heart Award
Christiansburg Rescue Chief, Joe Coyle, and Deputy Chief, Dustin Williams honored two NRV 911 communications officers with a Golden Heart Award today. Andrew Raines and Anthony Harmon were instrumental in the chain of survival for a Montgomery County resident suffering from a heart attack in July.
Andrew and Anthony provided quick triage of the patient utilizing our EMD protocols through ProQA and the International Academies of Emergency Dispatch to aid Christiansburg Rescue in the patient’s survival. The patient received life saving care and was transported to the hospital well under the threshold of 90 minutes.
